(Web Desk): Islamabad Traffic Police announced a special traffic management plan for the upcoming Cricket Series to ensure smooth travel and minimal congestion.

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have announced a detailed traffic plan for the upcoming Cricket Series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Over 300 officers will be deployed across key routes in Islamabad to manage congestion and assist commuters.

The plan ensures smooth movement for cricket teams traveling from Islamabad to the stadium. ITP officials said that alternate routes are ready to avoid inconvenience during temporary closures.

If Faisal Avenue is closed, drivers should use Srinagar Highway, Club Road via Faizabad, or Park Road via Lehtrar Road. If 9th Avenue is closed, motorists can take Sabzi Mandi Mor–Police Lines Chowk through Srinagar Highway. Travelers from Rawalpindi can use Golra Mor–Peshawar Mor–Srinagar Highway. Those going from Margalla Road toward Khanna should use Blue Area–Club Road–Lehtrar Road.

ITP teams will be stationed on main and service roads to guide traffic and ensure discipline. The department advised drivers to follow lane rules and avoid unnecessary overtaking.

Officials warned of possible slow traffic on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway during team movements, especially during rush hours. Citizens have been asked to plan travel accordingly.
