Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory about Islamabad road closures today due to security and administrative arrangements. Several key roads will remain closed for six hours.

According to the advisory, roads will be closed from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The move aims to ensure smooth security operations and manage traffic flow in the city.

The traffic police said that Police Lines Road and Faisal Avenue will face complete or partial closures. Traffic diversions will be clearly marked at these points to guide commuters.

Authorities also confirmed diversions on Srinagar Highway and the Islamabad Expressway. Commuters using these routes may face delays during the closure period.

Citizens have been advised to use alternative routes. Suggested options include Margalla Road, Club Road, and nearby service roads. These routes can help avoid congestion and save time.

The advisory urges commuters to plan their travel carefully. Citizens should allow an extra 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys to avoid inconvenience.

Islamabad Traffic Police personnel will be deployed at major intersections. Officials said wardens will actively guide traffic and assist road users during the closures.
