The Punjab government has officially extended the application deadline for the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Program, allowing students extra time to register and benefit from the initiative aimed at promoting digital learning.

According to officials, applications can now be submitted until February 28, 2026, through the program’s official online portal. The portal ensures merit-based distribution to eligible students enrolled in public sector colleges and universities. Eligibility is based on academic performance and domicile status.

Launched to empower students with modern laptops and promote digital skills, the CM Youth Laptop Scheme has been a cornerstone of the Punjab government’s broader agenda for educational empowerment and youth development. Officials have urged students to submit accurate applications promptly to avoid delays or errors.

The program’s rollout in the Gujranwala Division is set to be inaugurated by Maryam Nawaz Sharif on February 16, 2026, at the University of Gujrat. The event is expected to be attended by students, educators, and officials from the education department, highlighting the government’s commitment to advancing technology and education across Punjab.
