The federal government has launched the PM Ramazan Package 2026, providing Rs13,000 financial assistance to low-income families across Pakistan amid rising inflation and economic pressure during Ramazan.
The relief initiative, introduced under the government’s Ramazan support program, aims to ensure direct and transparent cash transfers to deserving households through a CNIC-based digital verification system.
What Is the PM Ramazan Package 2026?
The Prime Minister’s Ramazan relief initiative is designed to support vulnerable families during the holy month. Under the package:
- Eligible households will receive Rs13,000
- Distribution will be made through a digital CNIC-based system
- No long queues or complicated paperwork required
The program ensures funds are transferred directly to verified beneficiaries, minimizing delays and fraud.
Government Approves Funding for Ramazan Relief
The decision was discussed in a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) chaired by Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance.
The total value of the Ramazan relief package stands at Rs39 billion, including:
- Rs10 billion already allocated under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP)
- Rs29 billion to be arranged through supplementary grants, operational allocations, and reallocated funds
Officials confirmed that Rs19 billion had already been allocated in the current fiscal year, and immediate disbursement has been approved.
