Washington (Web Desk): US vice president praises Pakistan’s role in Iran–US talks, crediting leadership for enabling dialogue between both sides.

US Vice President JD Vance has praised Pakistan for playing an important role in facilitating talks between Iran and the United States, highlighting Islamabad’s positive contribution to diplomacy.

In a statement, he gave special credit to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for their leadership and efforts in hosting the talks.

He said both leaders demonstrated strong state-level vision and helped create an environment in which dialogue between the United States and Iran became possible after a long gap.

JD Vance noted that Pakistan’s role was key in bringing both sides to the negotiating table, which has raised hopes of reducing tensions in the region.
