The federal government has also declared four consecutive holidays for Eid, covering Friday through Monday, giving citizens extra time to celebrate with family and friends. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and SPARCO, Eid is expected on March 21, following the completion of 30 days of Ramadan, though the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will confirm the official date on March 19.
Passengers and citizens have welcomed the decision, saying that these Eid special trains will make intercity travel more convenient and enhance the festive experience. Pakistan Railways has emphasized its commitment to providing timely departures and ensuring passenger safety during the holiday rush.
