ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): A total of 76 international flights from Pakistan to Middle Eastern destinations were cancelled, causing inconvenience for passengers at major airports across the country.

The disruptions have been linked to the ongoing Middle East situation, which has affected flight operations and schedules on several routes.

Flights from major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar were impacted, with cancellations reported on routes to key destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Riyadh, Jeddah, Fujairah, and Doha.

From Islamabad, flights to Al Ain, Fujairah, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Dubai were cancelled. Similarly, services from Karachi to multiple Gulf cities were also grounded.

Lahore saw cancellations on routes to Kuwait, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Fujairah, Dammam, and Dubai, while flights from Peshawar to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, and Doha were also suspended.

Domestic travel was not spared either, as several local flights were cancelled, including routes between Islamabad and Gilgit.

Flights from Karachi to cities such as Lahore, Quetta, Sukkur, and Multan were also affected, leaving many passengers stranded or forced to reschedule their travel plans.

Passengers faced long waits and uncertainty at airports as airlines worked to manage the sudden disruption in operations.

Authorities have advised travelers to stay in contact with airlines for updated schedules as the situation continues to evolve.

The sudden cancellations have highlighted how regional tensions can quickly impact air travel and disrupt both international and domestic connectivity.
