(Web Desk): Pakistan–Middle East flights face disruption as 97 flights were cancelled today due to the Middle East war, while limited operations continue from major airports.

The Pakistan–Middle East flight cancellations continue as 97 flights were cancelled today due to the ongoing Middle East war, causing major disruption for passengers traveling from Pakistan to Gulf destinations.

Despite the widespread cancellations, aviation authorities say around 58 flights are still expected to operate from major Pakistani airports as airlines attempt to maintain limited air connectivity with the region.

Karachi Airport Faces Major Flight Disruptions

At Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, the largest number of cancellations were reported. A total of 25 flights to Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain were cancelled, while 13 flights are expected to depart if conditions remain stable.

The disruptions are primarily linked to airspace restrictions and security concerns caused by the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

Lahore Flights to Gulf Also Affected

At Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, airlines cancelled 22 flights to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, and Sharjah, while 7 flights may still operate depending on operational conditions.

Airport authorities say airlines are closely monitoring regional security developments and airspace safety before confirming departures.

Islamabad and Other Cities See Similar Impact

The capital’s Islamabad International Airport also witnessed significant disruption, with 26 flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Sharjah cancelled, while 16 flights remain operational.

Meanwhile, at Peshawar Airport, 10 flights to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah were cancelled, though 6 flights are expected to depart.

Other airports also reported cancellations:

  • Sialkot: 5 flights to Doha, Dubai, and Sharjah cancelled; 4 flights operating
  • Multan: 6 flights to Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Dammam cancelled
  • Faisalabad: 3 flights to Dubai and Sharjah cancelled, while 4 are operating

Over 1,300 Pakistan Flights Cancelled in 8 Days

According to aviation data, the total number of Pakistan–Middle East flight cancellations has reached 1,300 in the past eight days, highlighting the severe impact of the regional conflict on air travel.

Across the Middle East aviation network, nearly 27,600 flights have been cancelled in the past week, reflecting widespread disruptions caused by airspace closures, security alerts, and military tensions.

Doha Airport Announces Partial Flight Resumption

In a positive development, Doha Airport announced a partial restoration of flight operations starting today, after nearly a week of suspension due to security concerns linked to the conflict.

Aviation experts say full recovery of international flight operations between Pakistan and the Gulf region may take several days depending on how the regional situation evolves.
