According to police, the incident unfolded when the suspect reportedly lured the boy, who had just finished his daily work, and persuaded him to accompany him to his home under false pretenses.

Once at his residence, the mechanic allegedly sexually assaulted the boy. After committing the act, the suspect fled the scene, leaving the child near Shanghai Bridge. The boy later informed his father, Kashif, about the ordeal during questioning. The father immediately approached the local police to report the crime, expressing deep concern over the safety of children in the area.

Station House Officer (SHO) Afzaal Rauf confirmed that Kashif had submitted a formal request to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused. Following the registration of the FIR, the police initiated a thorough investigation and have now forwarded the case to the gender cell for specialized handling, ensuring that proper procedures are followed for cases involving minors.
