The Punjab Government has officially launched the Ramzan Nigehban Package 2026, introducing a smart and transparent system to support low-income families during the holy month. Under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, the initiative replaces traditional queue-based distribution with a digital cash and subsidy model.
The biggest highlight is the new Ramzan Nigehban Card — an ATM-style card that allows beneficiaries to withdraw cash or purchase essential groceries directly from registered stores.
Key Benefits Under the Package
Rs 10,000 cash assistance per eligible family
Food support including flour, sugar, ghee, rice, and pulses
Digital distribution through banks, ATMs, and branchless banking agents
Direct integration with the PSER database to verify deserving households
The government has allocated over Rs 47 billion to cover approximately 4.2 million families across Punjab.
