Islamabad (Web Desk): The government has announced the expansion of the Islamabad electric bus service, now extending its routes to Rawat to improve commuting for residents.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the new depot and charging center for the Islamabad electric bus service. He rode an electric bus with officials and received a detailed briefing on operations and charging facilities.

Currently, about 125,000 commuters use the Islamabad electric bus service daily. Officials aim to double this number to 250,000 in the near future, making travel faster and more convenient.

The routes of the Islamabad electric bus service are designed to meet the needs of all commuters, including male and female students. This expansion, along with the metro, is helping reduce traffic congestion in the city.
