Peshawar (Web Desk): The churail mystery in Peshawar ended after residents discovered the so-called ghost was actually a missing girl.

Rumors of a female ghost, locally called shishka or pichal peri, had spread across Peshawar, especially near Wazir Bagh and Guldara Chowk. Social media amplified the panic, causing fear among locals.

Some residents even armed themselves, searching graveyards at night for the apparition. The stories had circulated for months, heightening anxiety and superstition in the area.

Eventually, the girl was caught safely and handed over to the police. Authorities clarified that she was a 13-year-old who had been missing from home for several days. The police also confirmed that she is mentally unwell and is now back with her parents.

Officials said the girl’s late-night wandering caused residents to mistake her for a ghost. Social media rumors had fueled the confusion, but a proper investigation resolved the situation.
