TEHRAN (Web Desk): Israeli airstrikes hit areas near the Pakistan embassy in Tehran, as explosions rocked the city, but all diplomatic staff remained safe.

Israel carried out airstrikes in parts of Tehran, including areas close to the Pakistan embassy and the residence of Pakistan’s ambassador.

According to sources, heavy explosions were heard around 8:00 pm, creating panic in nearby areas. However, the embassy building and the ambassador’s residence were not damaged.

Officials confirmed that all Pakistani diplomatic staff members remained safe despite the intense situation. The strikes came as Tehran continued to face aerial attacks, with the city under bombardment for several days.

Ambassador Mudassir Tipu and around 20 diplomatic staff members are continuing their duties in Tehran despite the difficult conditions.

A senior official said loud blasts were heard, and staff members were shaken, but everyone remained safe and continued working.

The incident occurred at a time of active diplomatic efforts. Pakistan, along with Türkiye and Egypt, is trying to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said both sides are in indirect contact through Pakistan, with messages being exchanged to find a peaceful solution. He said, “Dialogue and diplomacy are the only way forward.”

Officials said these countries are playing a quiet but important role in helping both sides communicate and avoid further escalation.

The situation highlights growing risks in the region, even for diplomatic missions, as tensions continue to rise.
