Commencing presently households and businesses wil be charged a monthly saniation fee throughout Punjab.

As per sources it is likely that from july 1 the waste collection fee will be enforced coinciding with the beginning of the new fiscal year.

In urban areas:

• Houses up to 5 marla will be charged PKR 300 per month
• 5 to 10 marla houses: PKR 500 per month
• 10 marla to 1 kanal houses: PKR 1,000 per month
• 1 to 2 kanal houses: PKR 2,000 per month
• Houses larger than 2 kanal: PKR 5,000 per month

In all commercial areas of Punjab:

• Shops will pay PKR 500 per month
•  PKR 1,000 per month for mid-sized businesses
• PKR 3,000 per month for big businesses and factories

In rural areas:

• PKR 200 per month will be charged for 2 to 5 marla homes
• PKR 400 per month for Homes 10 marla or larger

For businesses in rural areas:

• PKR 300 per month for small businesses
• PKR 700 per month for medium businesses
• PKR 1,000 per month large industrial units

From July 1, door-to-door waste collection services will begin in all areas.
