LAHORE: (Web Desk) People in Pakistan may get nine holidays for Eidul Fitr 2025.

The expected dates for the Eidul Fitr moon sighting are from March 29 to April 6, which means people could enjoy 9 days off. According to the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the Eid date in Pakistan is likely to be March 31.

Usually, Eid holidays last for 3 days. However, if the government announces official holidays from March 29 (Saturday) to April 2 (Wednesday), and gives extra holidays on April 3 and 4 (Thursday and Friday), then the holiday period could stretch to 9 days. No official announcement has been made yet, and the holiday schedule will depend on government approval and the moon sighting announcement.

Astronomers predict that this year’s Ramadan will last 29 days, and Eid is expected to be on March 31. The new moon is likely to be visible on March 30, with a 26-hour-old moon, making the moon sighting chances clearer.

Experts say that if Ramazan ends with 30 fasts, Eidul Fitr will be on April 1 (Tuesday), but the final announcement will be made officially.
