According to rescue sources, the fire engulfed the school building in no time, destroying it completely.

Upon being informed about the fire, locals rushed to the spot and rescued teachers and 500 girls trapped in the classrooms.

Besides damaging the school building, the fire also reduced the furniture, equipment, and office papers in it to ashes.

The reason behind the eruption of fire could not be ascertained, the rescue sources said.

Fire engines from Haripur city were sent to the spot to extinguish the fire.
