Popular YouTuber and TikToker Rajab Butt was allegedly assaulted by a group of lawyers during a court hearing in Karachi, triggering outrage on social media and drawing a strong response from his wife, Eman Rajab Butt.
The incident took place on Monday, December 29, when the 30-year-old content creator appeared in court for the expiry of his interim bail in a case filed by lawyer Riaz Solangi in December last year. His interim bail had earlier been granted on December 20.
According to reports, tensions escalated inside the court premises, leading to a physical attack on Rajab Butt. Viral videos circulating online showed him with visible injuries, including blood on his jaw and mouth, sparking widespread concern among his followers.
Following the incident, Eman Rajab Butt took to Instagram to voice her support and demand accountability. In a brief but powerful statement, she wrote, “Justice is not chaos. We demand accountability through law, through due process. Through the power of the constitution.” She further called for “Justice for @Rajab.Butt94” and stressed respect for the law of Pakistan.
Rajab Butt’s counsel, Mian Ali Ashfaq, strongly condemned the incident, stating that his client was brutally attacked by “some lawyers” within the Karachi City Courts. Writing on X, Ashfaq said the attackers continued beating Rajab despite repeated requests to stop, calling the act unprofessional and alarming for the justice system.
