(Web Desk): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts rain in hills and snowfall in northern mountainous areas, citizens advised to take precautions.

The weather department has forecast cold and dry conditions for Islamabad and most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, due to changing weather patterns, some northern districts may see rainfall, and snowfall is expected in higher elevations.

Areas likely to be affected include Dir, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Haripur, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Orakzai, Khyber, Kohat, Bannu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and both North and South Waziristan.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir will also remain cold, with snowfall possible in high-altitude areas. In contrast, most parts of Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain dry with very little chance of rain.

Citizens are advised to stay alert and take precautionary measures due to the intensity of the weather. Travel and daily routines in northern districts may be affected, and people living in snowy mountainous areas should be extra careful to avoid accidents.
