The program aims to ease the financial burden on widows and ensure that their children’s basic needs are met.

For funding, the Zakat and Welfare Department has allocated Rs. 4 billion to this initiative, which will strengthen the economic position of widows and reduce their reliance on external aid.

Officials report that the scheme is expected to be implemented by the end of this month, with eligible women soon able to register and receive financial assistance.

This initiative highlights the Punjab government’s commitment to social welfare and targeted support for marginalized groups, ensuring widows and their families can maintain financial stability.
