LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistani police officers will receive advanced training in China under a new cooperation plan to modernize policing skills and professional standards.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the decision during his visit to the Beijing Police College, where he reviewed modern training facilities and observed a live demonstration of suspect arrests using police vehicles.

The interior minister praised the professionalism and operational efficiency of the Beijing Police force. He said he was especially impressed by the performance and coordination of the vehicle squad.

Mohsin Naqvi announced that an agreement will be signed between Pakistan’s National Police Academy and the Beijing Police College to strengthen bilateral cooperation in police training.

Under the agreement, Pakistani police officers will be trained according to modern policing needs. All ASP-rank officers from the National Police Academy will attend a one-month professional training program in Beijing.

During the visit, the interior minister also tested an advanced driving simulator. He was briefed on how technology, artificial intelligence, and modern systems are used to manage protests, violence, and crime.

Officials said the Beijing Police College offers technology-based academic and practical training, including AI-driven policing modules designed for real-world challenges.

The college has 12 faculties and more than 400 instructors. Nearly half of its teaching staff hold PhD degrees, reflecting its strong focus on research and advanced learning.
