The Sindh government said all provincial government offices will remain closed on the day. This includes autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils working under the provincial administration.
A notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department confirmed the holiday and instructed departments to follow the order.
The coming week will bring another public holiday in Sindh as well. December 25 marks the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. The day also coincides with Christmas, making it a double occasion of national and religious importance.
