ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held substantive talks to strengthen bilateral ties during President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s first official visit.

According to an official statement, the discussions focused on further deepening the long-standing fraternal relationship between Pakistan and the UAE. The visit marked President Al Nahyan’s first official trip to Pakistan in his capacity as UAE president, although he had earlier met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Rahim Yar Khan this year.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination on matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments while expressing satisfaction over the positive direction of bilateral relations.

The statement said the “two leaders reiterated their determination to continue to work together closely to advance the shared objective of peace, stability, and sustainable development”. It added that “The visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will further consolidate the deep brotherly ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and contribute to further strengthening of their strategic partnership”.
