ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan confirmed that the main planner of the deadly suicide blast in Islamabad, linked to Daesh, has been arrested along with all facilitators.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said strong evidence points to India providing funding and targeting information for the attack.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Naqvi said security agencies carried out raids in Peshawar and Nowshera immediately after the blast, arresting the mastermind and his accomplices. The raids were conducted with coordination between the CTD and other law enforcement teams.

The suicide attack occurred at an imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai area during prayers. The attacker opened fire before detonating himself, killing at least 33 people and injuring dozens.

Naqvi said, “I am telling you again with clarity that their [terrorist outfits] entire funding is being provided by India. All targets being provided to them by India.” He added that the attacker was trained in Afghanistan and brought into Pakistan to carry out the attack.

During the operations, one KP police officer was martyred and several others injured. Naqvi said payments to militants have risen from $500 to $1,500, indicating India has increased funding after facing setbacks in May.

He emphasized that Pakistan will continue its anti-terror operations regardless of increased terror budgets. Naqvi warned that all militants must be treated equally and stressed that social media platforms must block terrorist accounts or face consequences.

India’s alleged funding of terrorists makes this case more serious. Arrests show Pakistan’s strong intelligence work. Training in Afghanistan shows cross-border coordination. Security forces remain vigilant. Social media monitoring is a key step to stop terror planning.
