Karachi (Web Desk): Pakistan Airport Authority has issued urgent instructions to foreign airlines to carry extra jet fuel for all flights operating across the country, due to the ongoing US-Iran war situation.

The Pakistan fuel crisis has led to a major aviation decision, as authorities struggle to manage the ongoing airport fuel shortage.

The Pakistan Airport Authority has issued an order for foreign airlines, making it mandatory for them to carry additional jet fuel when operating flights to and from Pakistan.

Officials confirmed that the PAA order for foreign airlines was introduced after fuel reserves dropped significantly at major airports.

The airport fuel shortage has affected operations in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, where foreign airlines are now receiving limited fuel supply.

Due to the Pakistan fuel crisis, several international flights are now refueling at Muscat before returning from Pakistan. This step ensures that aircraft can complete their journeys safely despite the airport fuel shortage.

Sources also revealed that airlines are adjusting cargo loads because the PAA order for foreign airlines requires extra fuel weight onboard.

The situation has become more challenging as jet fuel prices have surged by Rs200 per liter, reaching Rs388 per liter nationwide.

The Pakistan fuel crisis has forced authorities to prioritize fuel allocation, ensuring local airlines receive full supply while foreign carriers face restrictions due to the airport fuel shortage.
