The order was passed by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah during the hearing of a case related to allegations made against state institutions and damage to their reputation. The court took a strict view of the chief minister’s continuous absence from proceedings.

According to the case details, Sohail Afridi allegedly made misleading public statements against state institutions. These statements reportedly harmed the credibility of the institutions and created negative perceptions among the public.

During the hearing, the chief minister’s lawyers requested the court to avoid strict action due to his absence. However, the court rejected the plea and maintained its order for immediate arrest.
