Universities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will hold special seminars today to raise awareness among students about the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, following the instructions of Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi.
According to official details, the initiative aims to educate students about the financial rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the province’s share under the NFC Award. The government believes that informed students can play a key role in strengthening the demand for fair financial allocations at the national level.
The seminars will be held simultaneously in major universities across the province, including Islamia College University Peshawar, Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) Peshawar, University of Buner, University of Shangla, Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), FATA University FR Peshawar, Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan, University of Haripur, Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak, and University of Swat.

Students will be encouraged to participate in open discussions and ask questions about the distribution of financial resources among provinces. The government hopes the campaign will build a better understanding of fiscal rights and promote active civic engagement among the youth.
The awareness drive is part of the provincial government’s broader effort to educate the public about economic issues and ensure that the next generation fully understands KP’s constitutional and financial entitlements.
