(Web Desk): Imran Khan’s sons claim their father is held in harsh conditions at Adiala jail’s “death cell” and plan to visit Pakistan soon.

Jailed PTI founder Imran Khan is reportedly facing “awful” conditions in Adiala jail, according to his sons Kasim and Sulaiman Khan. The brothers spoke in an interview with Sky News, describing their father’s cell as a “death cell” with minimal light and limited facilities.

Sulaiman said that the electricity in Imran Khan’s cell is sometimes cut off, water is dirty, and the conditions do not meet international legal standards for prisoners. Kasim described the situation as “jarring” and emotionally stressful for the family, adding that they feel helpless from abroad.

Imran Khan has been imprisoned for over two years, and his incarceration has sparked protests by PTI, including clashes with police over meetings with the former prime minister. Last week, authorities ended a sit-in by Imran’s sisters attempting to meet him. The last official visit was on December 2, when his sister Uzma met him and confirmed that he appeared healthy, though furious over the harsh conditions.

Amid rumours about Imran’s health, Sulaiman described the reports of his father’s death as “incredibly stressful” and relied on family updates for reassurance.

Kasim and Sulaiman said they are planning to visit Pakistan in January, pending visa approval. They emphasized their father’s dedication to Pakistan, saying that despite personal wishes to have him closer, Imran Khan has a “purpose far greater” than leaving the country.

The sons remain determined to support their father while highlighting the dire conditions he faces in prison, calling for awareness about his treatment and ongoing political struggles.
