(Web Desk): Pakistan extends its ban on all Indian-registered aircraft, including military and private jets, until January 23, 2026.

Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian-registered aircraft for an additional month, the Civil Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday. The move applies to all Indian military and private jets, including leased aircraft.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), with government approval, issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) confirming the extension. The restriction, originally implemented on April 23, 2025, will now remain in effect from December 25, 2025, to January 23, 2026.

The NOTAM specifies that the ban covers every Indian-owned and operated aircraft, including military flights and private planes. Aircraft leased from third countries under Indian registration are also subject to the restriction.

Officials said the measure is part of Pakistan’s ongoing approach to safeguard its airspace and monitor cross-border flights amid current geopolitical concerns. While the ban affects scheduled Indian flights, no further disruptions are expected for international carriers from other countries.

The Civil Aviation Authority has advised all airlines and operators to comply strictly with the NOTAM. Any violation of the airspace restrictions could result in legal and operational penalties, including fines or grounding of aircraft.

This extension follows months of heightened tension in the region, and authorities continue to review airspace policies regularly to ensure national security.

Airlines and aviation stakeholders have been urged to plan flight operations accordingly and coordinate with the PCAA for safe navigation and airspace management during the restriction period.

Pakistan’s move underscores ongoing vigilance over airspace management and security, maintaining tight control over entry and exit of foreign aircraft.
