Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has shown significant improvement in his eyesight, according to a team of expert doctors who conducted a detailed medical examination at Adiala Jail.

The medical team comprised specialists from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Al-Shifa International Hospital, who spent nearly one and a half hours evaluating the PTI leader. Ophthalmologists expressed satisfaction with his ongoing treatment and briefed opposition leaders and personal physicians about the findings.

Superintendent of the jail confirmed that the eye examination was conducted under strict security, with a full medical board overseeing the process. The doctors carried essential medical equipment and medications to ensure a thorough assessment. The panel included Dr. Rafiq, Dr. Sikandar, and Dr. Arif, among others, supported by a team of five technicians.

Officials said the medical team will submit a comprehensive report to the government soon. The examination also included a review of Imran Khan’s ongoing treatment, with doctors expressing full satisfaction with his current care.

Sources said the medical panel had considered transferring him to a hospital for further evaluation but conducted the detailed checkup inside the jail itself. The procedure reflects heightened attention to the health of the PTI founder and ensures transparency in the medical assessment.
