Barrister Sultan Mehmood had been suffering from liver cancer for several months and was receiving treatment in a hospital in Islamabad. He passed away today, leaving the region in mourning.

His funeral prayer will be offered at 3pm on Sunday in Khari Sharif, where friends, family, and political leaders are expected to pay their respects.

Sultan Mahmood had served as the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and was respected for his political work and leadership in the region.
