
Speaking to media persons in London, PM revealed minutes of meeting, which took place in Washington on september 2026.
According to PM Shehbaz, during the meeting the two countries discussed economic cooperation, oil and gas exploration and opportunities in the mining sector.
The Trump’s commitment to economy could open new doors for bilateral investment and opportunities, he added.
Shehbaz stated that Pakistan has nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts to prevent conflict with India and mediate peace in Gaza.
“If he had not intervened in time, who knows what could have happened? PM Shehbaz said, praising Trump’s role in achieving a ceasefire. He acknowledged his efforts while wishing him continued success.
Relations between Pakistan and the United States have shown signs of improvement in recent months. This development is notable, as US President has expressed strong support for Pakistan’s economic growth through trade and investment.
