According to the details, the statement issued by Makhdoom House said that Sher Afzal Marwat is invited to join the PPP.

The Makhdoom House spokesperson said that Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman will soon meet Sher Afzal Marwat in Islamabad, adding that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is determined to make Pakistan a modern country under his leadership.

It is to be noted here that PTI terminated the basic membership of MNA Sher Afzal Marwat and asked him to resign from the National Assembly seat as well.

PTI Additional General Secretary Firdous Shamim Naqvi issued a notification, stating that PTI had decided to terminate the basic membership of Sher Afzal Marwat for serious violations of the party discipline.

The notification said that Sher Afzal Marwat had also been issued a show cause notice and asked to give statements according to the party policy.

It added that a committee had also been formed to monitor the tweets and media statements of Sher Afzal Marwat.

Commenting on the expulsion of Sher Afzal Marwat from the party, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said that he was not aware of the cancellation of the party membership of the firebrand lawyer-cum-politician.

Gohar said that he would meet PTI founder Imran Khan and put the whole situation before him in jail.

Gohar added that he did not know who had issued instructions and who was making decisions.

He said it was not brought to his knowledge that the PTI founder had issued such instructions. He said Marwat’s membership had been terminated without any committee meeting nor did he was called for his response.

He said, “I will meet Imran Khan today and reverse this notification, Sher Afzal Marwat was a member of our party and was loyal to Imran Khan.”
