PM Shehbaz leaves for China on five-day visit

ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for China on a five-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang.

The three-segment trip of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will consist on visits to three Chinese cities including Xi’an, Shenzhen, and Beijing.

The prime minister will meet the Chinese president and hold delegation-level talks with the Chinese prime minister in Beijing.

He will also hold meetings with Zhao Leji, Chairman of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and the heads of key government departments.

The prime minister will also hold meetings with corporate executives of leading Chinese companies dealing in oil and gas, energy, ICT, and emerging technologies.

He will address the China-Pakistan Business Forum in Shenzhen. The forum will be attended by leading businesspersons, entrepreneurs, and investors from both countries.

The prime minister will also visit Economic and Agricultural Zones in China.

The two sides will hold discussions to further upgrade China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and enhance bilateral trade and investment.

The talks will be aimed at enhancing cooperation in security and defence, energy, space, science and technology, and education sectors.
