Maryam Nawaz inaugurates ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ project

LAHORE: (Suno News) Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ project to provide interest-free loans to people to build their homes.

As per the announcement, citizens owning 1-5 marla land in cities and 1-10 marla land in rural areas will be able to get a Rs1.5 million interest-free loan.

They will be able to pay back their loans in seven years with Rs14,000 monthly installments. The government will pay the service charges, and banks will not be involved in it.

People will not have to pay installments for the first three months, and there will be no tax or hidden charges on the loan.

Citizens can apply for the loan online, and they can call the helpline number 080009100 for information.

“Home is a blessing, and we will provide homes to everyone soon,” Maryam Nawaz said while addressing the inauguration ceremony.

“Construction on land will be started soon to provide homes. We were trying hard to provide relief to citizens in inflation,” she said.

“The government is set to announce the biggest solar project in history. A relief of Rs45-50 billion will be provided in electricity bills,” she announced.

She claimed that Punjab was leading in development, adding that other provinces were following in the footsteps of Punjab.

The chief minister also said that she and her team worked day and night to provide relief to people.
