A motorcycle theft case against former federal minister has taken a new turn. The case, originally filed in Dokri’s local court, has now been transferred to the Session Court.
The Session Judge has assigned the case to an Additional Session Judge and postponed the hearing until August 18.
The former minister strongly denied the allegations, calling the case an act of political revenge allegedly orchestrated by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
He revealed that this is just one of 13 fake and baseless cases filed against him. The bizarre list includes a Rs3,000 robbery from a petrol pump, motorcycle theft, and even goat theft.
Jatoi further accused the PPP of transforming into a “political mafia” since 2008 in Sindh. He claims the party uses such tactics to silence political opponents.
The next court hearing is scheduled for August 18, where more developments in this controversial case are expected.

This case raises serious questions about the use of legal tools for political purposes in Pakistan. The unusual nature of the charges—especially theft of a goat and a minor petrol pump robbery—has drawn attention to what Jatoi calls a systematic effort to defame him. Whether these cases hold merit or not, they reveal a deepening rift between political rivals and the complex tactics often used in political battles. All eyes will be on the next hearing for clarity.
