LAHORE (Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a new schedule for the upcoming by-elections in Punjab.

According to the ECP, polling will take place in five constituencies across Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions. These include NA-96, NA-104, NA-143, PP-98, and PP-203.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Election Commissioner stated that the final date to file appeals against returning officers’ decisions is October 24, while the appellate tribunals will deliver verdicts on these appeals by October 31. The revised list of candidates will be published on November 1.

Candidates wishing to withdraw their nominations can do so by November 3, and election symbols will be allotted on November 4. Voting for all five constituencies is scheduled for November 23, 2025.

The spokesperson added that the schedule has been issued under the Election Act 2017, and all political parties and candidates have been directed to strictly follow the election code of conduct.

Political activity in Punjab is set to heat up again as the by-elections draw near. With multiple key constituencies up for grabs, the polls are expected to test party popularity ahead of future elections. Analysts believe that the results could hint at shifting voter sentiments in Faisalabad and Sahiwal regions, making these by-elections politically significant for both ruling and opposition parties.
