Punjab introduces cash-free cards for electro busses
Lahore (Web Desk): The Government of Punjab has launched a new DR based payment system for passengers of electro buses.

By this new launch, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority allows the passengers to travel on electric busses without need of a physical card.

Riders can now use the eTransit Punjab mobile app to book their wallet top up by generating a DR code and ride on the bus by scanning the QR code on board.

This initiative is a part of CM broader effort to modernize the public transit and to make the process more easy, fast and digital.

How the New System Works

·         Download the eTransit Punjab application on your mobile devices

·         Register by using your mobile phone number and CNIC

·         Recharge your in-app wallet with the desired amount

·         Activate the QR option within the app to generate code

·         Scan the QR code on the on-board point of the machine.

·         The fare will automatically be deducted from the wallet

·         This cardless system reduces delays and supports a cashless travel experience for travelers.
