By this new launch, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority allows the passengers to travel on electric busses without need of a physical card.
Riders can now use the eTransit Punjab mobile app to book their wallet top up by generating a DR code and ride on the bus by scanning the QR code on board.
This initiative is a part of CM broader effort to modernize the public transit and to make the process more easy, fast and digital.
How the New System Works
· Download the eTransit Punjab application on your mobile devices
· Register by using your mobile phone number and CNIC
· Recharge your in-app wallet with the desired amount
· Activate the QR option within the app to generate code
· Scan the QR code on the on-board point of the machine.
· The fare will automatically be deducted from the wallet
· This cardless system reduces delays and supports a cashless travel experience for travelers.
