Flight cancellations and delays hit Pakistan due to severe weather
(Web Desk): Severe weather and operational challenges have caused major disruptions at airports across Pakistan, resulting in multiple flight cancellations and delays.

According to airport authorities, four flights have been cancelled and 49 flights are delayed today.

From Karachi, three domestic flights to Multan and Lahore, PK 330, PK 331, and PK 302, were cancelled. Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Islamabad to Dubai flight PK 233 was also cancelled. A private airline flight from Islamabad to Karachi, PF 122, departed two and a half hours late.

Delays are affecting flights from several key cities: Islamabad 21 flights, Lahore 13, Karachi 11, and Multan 4 flights are currently delayed. International flights have also faced significant delays:

  • Islamabad to Abu Dhabi flights PK 230 and PK 231 delayed by 8 hours.
  • Kuala Lumpur to Islamabad flight PK 895 delayed by 12 hours.
  • Lahore to Dubai and Sharjah flights PF 787 and PK 186 delayed 6 to 9 hours.
  • Lahore to Jeddah flights PK 716 and PK 717 delayed 5 to 6 hours.
  • Lahore to Kuwait flight PK 205 delayed 5 hours; Lahore to Toronto flight PK 789 delayed 2.5 hours.
  • Jeddah to Multan flights PA 871 and PA 872 delayed 1.5 to 13 hours.
  • Peshawar to Sharjah flight PK 258 delayed 4 hours.

Airport authorities have urged passengers to check their flight status in advance, arrive early, and stay patient while ground operations and air traffic control manage delays caused by adverse weather and operational issues.

Travelers are advised to monitor official airline updates and remain flexible with their travel plans to avoid inconvenience.
