
The suspension was imposed in July 2020 by the UK and European aviation regulators after the fake pilot licence scandal.
However, airlines will still need to secure operational approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority before they can resume flights.

The British High Commission clarified that Pakistan’s removal from the aviation safety list came after a thorough, independent technical assessment. British High Commissioner Jane Marriott expressed gratitude to the aviation experts from both countries for their collaboration and stated she looks forward to flying with a Pakistani airline soon.
The High Commission also emphasized that improved air connectivity between the UK and Pakistan will support family reunification and further strengthen bilateral relations. The UK continues to be Pakistan’s third-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade amounting to £4.7 billion annually.
