
The Climate Data Processing Centre predicted that the birth of the Shaban moon would be born on January 29 at 5:36 pm, and the moon is expected to be visible on January 30 (Thursday).
The department predicted that during the moon sighting, the sky is likely to be clear in some areas, while other would have cloudy sky.
If the moon is sighted in January, first of the Shaban will fall on January 31 and Shab-e-Barat will be observed on February 14.

The Data Centre added that the moon’s age would be 25 hours and 4 minutes at sunset, and the duration for the moon to be sighted is expected to be around 57 minutes.
Shaban is the eighth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and holds immense significance for Muslims as it precedes the holy month of Ramazan.
