Heavy Rains over the past few days have caused landslides and flooding across the region, blocking several key routes and cutting off access to remote areas.
Tine Dhalkot and Toli Pir are among the worst-hit, with roads there completely shut down due to landslides triggered by continuous rain.
The impact on daily life has been serious. People are struggling to travel for work, reach hospitals, or even get basic supplies. Public transport has been suspended in multiple areas, and some residents have been left stranded without reliable access to nearby towns.

In response to the worsening conditions, the Education Department decided to keep all public and private schools closed until at least August 23. Officials say restoring safe road access will take time, and student safety must come first.
Locals have welcomed the decision, with many parents saying they were worried about sending their children out in such dangerous conditions. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and are urging people to stay home unless absolutely necessary.
