(Web Desk): Afghan forces were thrown into panic and reportedly requested Pakistan to stop its heavy retaliatory action.

According to security officials, the Pakistani response was so intense and precise that Afghan forces were thrown into threat and urgently requested Pakistan to halt its operation.

Tensions flared along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border as Pakistani forces launched heavy retaliatory strikes after repeated provocations from the Afghan side.

According to security sources, 19 Afghan border posts, including the including Durand Mela, Turkmanzai, Shahidan, Jandosar, and Kharchar Fort, were destroyed through artillery and drone strikes. The Manojaba Battalion Headquarters, Durrani Camp and Leobund posts were also reduced to rubble, eliminating dozens of militants, including foreign operatives.

Reports indicate that Afghan authorities urgently requested Pakistan to cease its counter-offensive after facing severe losses.

The escalation came after Afghan forces allegedly fired across the border into Pakistan’s Kurram and Khyber districts, targeting civilian areas and security checkpoints. In response, Pakistan’s border troops carried out precise retaliatory strikes, silencing several Afghan positions. The intense exchange of fire created panic among local residents on both sides, prompting authorities to tighten border security.

According to official sources, Pakistan’s action was a “measured response” aimed at defending its territorial integrity and deterring future aggression. Islamabad has long accused Afghan soil of being used by anti-Pakistan militant groups, particularly the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), to launch cross-border attacks.

The incident comes amid worsening relations between Islamabad and Kabul, as Pakistan continues to push for stronger counter-terrorism measures from the Taliban government. Meanwhile, the Pakistani Foreign Office reiterated that the country remains committed to regional peace but will not tolerate unprovoked aggression or militant infiltration.

The situation along the border remains tense, with fears that another round of violence could erupt if diplomatic efforts fail to de-escalate the confrontation.
