Pakistani Huzaifa Arshad clinches gold in South Asian Karate Championship

(Web Desk): Huzaifa Arshad has clinched a gold medal for Pakistan in the cadet individual kata category at the ongoing South Asian Karate Championship in Sri Lanka.

Competing in the under-10 age category, Huzaifa delivered a standout performance to secure the top podium spot. The event features participants from six countries: Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

So far, the Pakistani team has won a total of one gold, one silver, and seven bronze medals at the championship. India currently leads the overall medal table.

Separately Farid Arif and Rayan Malik brought pride to Pakistan by securing gold in the Open Men’s Double Scull Race.

The rowing victory took place in Amsterdam during the Dutch International Youth Regatta 2025, where Farid Muhammad Arif and Rayan Malik, representing KBC Pakistan, delivered a remarkable performance on the opening day. Competing against over 800 athletes from eight countries — including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the UK, France, Ukraine, the US, and Pakistan — the duo displayed outstanding coordination and stamina. Their dominance was so overwhelming that their boat crossed the finish line far ahead of their competitors.
