Pakistan to start Train service from Lahore to Russia

LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistan Railways has completed preparations to run a freight train from Lahore to Russia.
According to railway officials, the first freight train will depart for Russia in July. The first freight train, consisting of 16 coaches, will reach Russia via Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. The last station of the Pakistan Railways freight train will be the Russian city of Astrakhan.

Various goods will also reach Pakistan from Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan by freight train. The June 22nd train departure was canceled due to the Iran-Israel war.
Public Relations Officer Pakistan Railways Babar Raza says that this initiative will promote trade between South Asia and Central Asia.
