ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan's Foreign Ministry condemned U.S. airstrikes on Iran, citing international law violations, urging de-escalation, protection of civilians, and calling for diplomacy to restore regional and global peace.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which came after a series of Israeli attacks. In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad expressed deep concern over the rising tensions in the region and their implications for global stability.

“These attacks violate all norms of international law. Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself under Article 51 of the UN Charter,” the statement said. The ministry warned that “ongoing aggression against Iran has led to an unprecedented escalation of tension and violence — a deeply disturbing trend with potentially devastating implications for regional and global peace.”

The Foreign Office emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and called for an immediate end to hostilities. “Pakistan stresses the urgent need to respect civilian lives & property”, statement states.

Reaffirming its stance on peaceful conflict resolution, the ministry concluded, “Dialogue and diplomacy, in accordance with the UN Charter, remain the only viable path to resolve the crisis and restore stability in the region.”
