PM Shehbaz, Ministers donate one month’s salary for KP flood victims

(Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that he and his federal cabinet members will donate one month’s salary to aid relief efforts, for those affected by devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On Monday, the Prime Minister called a high-level meeting where he stressed how important it is for everyone to come together and help those affected by the heavy rains and floods, leaving politics aside for now.

He promised that families who lost their loved ones or suffered damage to their homes would receive compensation. He also urged all federal ministers to personally make sure that aid and relief work are carried out quickly and fairly, so help reaches those who need it most.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is working on a detailed report about the flood damage and is preparing a clear plan to make sure the aid reaches the right people.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has been told to release the necessary funds without delay, and the Ministry of Health is sending medical teams and important medicines to the hardest-hit areas. So far, officials say over 400 rescue operations have been completed, and 46 relief camps are sheltering families who had to leave their homes.

Property damage is estimated to be over Rs125 million. Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized that federal ministers will stay involved until everyone affected has received support and essential services are restored. He made it clear that the government’s top priority is to stand with the people during this tough time and make sure no one is left behind.
