The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is opening 13 new offices and mega centres across Sindh to make it easier for people to get identity cards and other important documents.
This plan was confirmed after a meeting between Sindh’s Chief Secretary Dr. Asif Haider Shah and NADRA officials.
During the meeting, they also talked about making property transfers and land record management digital, which is part of Sindh’s goal to use more online services.
Dr. Shah said the government wants to modernize these systems and help rural communities benefit from new technology.
NADRA will set up counters in all union councils of Karachi, said Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
New mega centres with better facilities, including wheelchair access and more seating, are being built in areas like Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town.

To improve passport services, new counters have been added in mega centres at Nazimabad and SITE, and new passport offices are now open in Karachi’s Central and Western districts.
These improvements come from the Ministry of Interior to make registration and passport services faster and easier.
NADRA also released the Pak ID Mobile App Version 5.0.0 with new features. The updated app has a better dashboard, faster CNIC cancellation, improved search, and support for both Urdu and English, making it easier for people, especially in rural areas, to use.
NADRA’s expansion in Sindh shows a strong move towards improving public access to essential identity and passport services.
By setting up more offices and mega centres with better facilities, the government aims to modernize document processing and help rural communities get easier access.
The introduction of digital property transfers and an upgraded mobile app also indicates a growing focus on digital governance, which could lead to faster, more efficient public services across the province.
This effort is a positive step in making important government services more accessible to everyone in Sindh.
