(Web Desk): Sajid Nawaz, a Lahore resident who became internet sensation after his viral video, has reportedly lost his job at a private company.

The viral video, recorded during the latest urban flooding in Lahore, captures Nawaz furiously blaming the provincial government for the city s poor drainage and mismanagement.

In this video Sajid not only used abusive language against Maryam Nawaz but also condemned establishment.

The online video became a hit overnight, inciting public wrath and a trending hashtag campaign to hold the authorities accountable.

After this video went viral on social media Punjab police took action and detained Sajid for using abusive language against officials.

After his arrest, another clip widely shared on social media in which Sajid Nawaz is heard apologizing: "I apologise to the government of Pakistan for my actions."

Soon after his detention, it was reported that Nawaz had been sacked from his job at a private company, where he purportedly served in the sales section. Although not officially announced by the company, insiders indicate that he was let go following his social media tirade, which attracted a fierce online backlash.

As the video is trending on social media, users aired their concern regarding freedom of expression in Pakistan. Even as calls grew for clarification, the reported comapny remains tight-lipped on the issue of termianting Sajid from his job.

Additionally, after his arrest by Punjab police, Nawaz reportedly has not gone back home, and his location is still unknown. His family members expressed great concern, citing they have been unable to contact him after the incident.
