
In order to advance the project further, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved the recruitment of transaction advisers.
The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy Board finalized the decision in a meeting led by the Chief Minister. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Saeed Ghani, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, and other senior officials.

To avoid delays and ensure swift progress, the government will not conduct a new selection process. Instead, it will continue with the previously appointed advisers. Moreover, officials shared that the project has cleared technical evaluation and aligns with sustainable transport objectives.
A proposal by a private consortium will be evaluated by the advisers. If found viable, the plan will be launched via a public-private partnership.
A total of 600 buses of 12 meters and 400 buses of 8 meters will be deployed. These will operate under a 10-year concession, where the company will be paid based on the number of kilometers the buses travel. To support operations, ten depots will be established, and after the 10-year period ends, the ownership of the buses and related assets will be transferred to the government.
Moreover, the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone project and the fast Shahrah-e-Bhutto corridor — which stretches 39 kilometers from Korangi Creek Avenue to the M-9 Motorway — were also reviewed by the board for updates.
