(Web Desk): Jazz helps flood-affected families in Punjab stay connected by removing call charges amid the crisis.

Jazz, one of Pakistan’s top mobile networks, has announced free calls to all networks and PTCL for people living in Punjab’s flood-hit areas. This move aims to help those affected by severe floods stay in touch with family, emergency teams, and relief workers without worrying about call costs.

Heavy rains and rising rivers have caused serious damage in many Punjab cities such as Narowal, Kartarpur, Sialkot, Wazirabad, and Gujrat. Homes, roads, and livelihoods have been affected, making communication more important than ever. By offering free calls, Jazz wants people to focus on their safety and recovery instead of phone bills.

Earlier this month, Jazz also provided free calls to flood-hit areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), showing its commitment to support communities during natural disasters.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, said, “Floods have caused massive disruption in Punjab, and our thoughts are with everyone affected. Staying connected can save lives, and free calls ensure people can reach help and coordinate rescue efforts when it matters most.”

In addition, Jazz has teamed up with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to launch an Early Warning System (EWS) that sends mobile alerts to warn people about flood risks. So far, over 200 million alerts have been sent nationwide, helping communities prepare and evacuate when needed.

Jazz continues to use its network and partnerships to support Pakistan during tough times, providing immediate help and working towards long-term recovery.
